ClearMargin is a browser extension that calculates Etsy seller fees and per-listing profit. It is built to work without collecting your data.
All of the following stays locally in your browser's extension storage, on your device only:
You can erase all of it at any time by removing the extension or clearing its storage. We have no server-side copy — there is no ClearMargin account and no analytics.
Exactly one thing, and only if you use ClearMargin Pro: when you activate or validate a license, your license key and the random instance identifier are sent over HTTPS to our licensing gateway (operated on Cloudflare Workers), which checks them against Creem, our payment provider. No listing data, costs, prices, or browsing activity are ever sent.
On Etsy listing and shop pages the extension reads the publicly displayed price (and, on shop pages, the visible listing prices) to compute fee breakdowns in place. This happens entirely inside your browser. Nothing from the page is transmitted or stored remotely.
We do not sell, rent, or share any information with advertisers or data brokers, and the extension contains no trackers.
